Have a look around
find out a bit more about us
and we look forward to seeing
you _ REAL soon!
We are a diverse group of yr 8 to sixth formers who meet every friday (and some mondays + sundays too).
We love God. We love to worship Him, serve Him, learn more about Him, grow closer to Him and put Him at the centre of what we do.
We love community. We love hanging out, laughing together, catching up, sharing life, playing games, grabbing a drink and being there for each other.
We love fridays. We love coming together, play table tennis, meet new people, watch awesome videos, listen to live performances, share a bit of our weeks, play crazy games, worship our God, listen to inspiring teaching and go away changed.
We also hold amazing events, go on weekends away, get involved with incredible projects + initiatives, have an annual christmas ball and even have a weekly life group (_ TLC building, mondays, 7-9)
If you want to know more or want to ask anything, why notcontact us!
We can't wait to see you there!
Arise is our new weekly prayer meeting, every monday 7.15 - 8.15. We meet together
in the TLC building to unite together and pray for our city of Leicester. Join us, it's great to wake up early with the one intention of praying. Breakfast included, and lifts to school can be arranged (chat to Tom).
We are having two Easter socials. For everyone, Megazone of 26th April, £7, make your own way there. 8pm - 10pm, with food and drink included. Should be AWESOME! And for all sixth formers, we're going to handmade burger and then going to church to watch a film on Thursday 28th. Meet _ handmade burger 6pm (and we're paying half- yeah!). See you there
EASTER is amazing, a time to relax, meet up with friends and also remember everything Jesus has done for us. Last REAL of the term is on April 15th, and we're back to business on the 6th May

So, I thought that as its January, Id let you know something that I learnt in college about how the month was established. It was named after the Roman god, Janus, who has two heads, one which allowed him to look backwards into the old year and one which allowed him to look forward into the new year. I guess thats kind of what people do when theyre thinking about their new years resolutions. I didnt bother with making any resolutions this year because normally when I do, theyre broken within a month of the year. As a kid I had silly little resolutions like keep my bedroom tidy and try to get along with my sister. Obviously they arent exactly easy things to keep to.
Anyway, some of you may know that I spent my Christmas holiday in Scotland with my family. To bring in the new year I went to a Hogmanay party at their pastors house with some people from their new church. While waiting for the new year we played games and had some food and then when it was finally 12:00 am we started singing Amazing Grace along to some bagpipes. We also sang
Auld Lang Syne which is a traditional Scottish song that they sing to
remember friends. Anyway, I hope you guys have had a great start to
the year like I have, I know its one that Im not going to easily forget.

So it's Feb! Ahhhh and Im writing this portion of the Real Blog :D I know right ... Epic! Well as Chloe had a cool fact about Jan I though id find one out ;) ... so February (along with January) was the last month to be added to the Roman Calendar, as Rome considered Winter to be a month less, lifeless period. Grim Eh! Although as its Feb here its the equivalent to August in the southern hemisphere, lucky people, but there we go.
Anyhow now that 2011 is really underway I thought Id let you know whats happened so far :P ... So we worshipped in through the New Year at Soul Survivor in Watford, it was incredible and God really moved with his people! On the way back to Leicester at about 7am the car broke down on the motorway :D but I can say my year started in the Presence of God, not a bad way to start 2011. The fact is though, Im exited about this year, Im beginning to truly understand how faith and prayer work, and its awesome! And the phrase that seems to be with me at the moment is it's Time for the BULLDOG to BREAK from the PACK so lets see what happens. One of the many highlight and amazing moments this year has been in Prayer on Friday 21st Jan and 7am a few of us were praying when Josh Nisbet went on a prayer rant, it was hilarious it included the phrase utter Scank we were all in stitches. Make Way for The King on the 22nd was awesome, you know when you really meet with God in a tangible way that you will never be the same. If you havent found this out, your missing out. Ask Jesus to meet with you! He doesnt disappoint! So in Feb Im looking forward to Retreat the last one we did was
wonderful, but once again we want more of God and to see more happen.
Maybe ... just maybe this year we might see a move of God that shakes this
nation! Thats my heart, if its yours ... get praying man! 2011... it's time!
